LIFE is an acronym for:
LOVE · INVOLVEMENT · FELLOWSHIP · EVANGELISM
LIFE groups are small and informal gatherings. They are casual opportunities to discuss and apply God’s word to our lives. LIFE groups meet weekly in members’ homes and consist of 6-12 adults plus children. Most include a Bible based lesson/discussion followed by coffee and fellowship. LIFE groups help encourage us to be more like Christ and to draw closer to God.
What is the purpose of LIFE groups?
To provide prayerful, evangelistic groups developing spiritual and relational growth for everyone in a loving safe environment.
Romans 12: 10-16 "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited."
Romans 1: 14-17 "I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome.16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
